In making a great website the first thing to remember
is that the only way your site can truly perform is if it is designed with your
tasks in mind. The design itself is indicative of you and you only. The days of
template based websites are over -- customers are getting wise to it and it's
quickly becoming the big pink fuzzy dice of the 21st Century. Since
we don't want you to be a digital cliche, we've made a promise to the entire online
community, read our lips "no more cookie-cutter websites." We simply
cannot recklessly throw something together just to get it online, everytime we
build a website we put our name and reputation on the line. Please don't let this
scare you away, contrary to popular belief custom design does not automatically
yield a high cost. In fact, we can often put together a custom site for less than
you might pay someone else to build something off a template. When
you take the first step towards having your site professionally designed you might
be a bit make sure your designer has a game plan. AVENUE utilizes a detailed process
in order to make the experience easier -- see how research, design, and client
feedback fit into the production of a custom website.
| This is where we will discuss
goals for your site and ultimately clearly understand the nature of your site
visitors. The web is comprised of all kinds of sites and we need to know exactly
what you want to do with yours, whether its for informational purposes only, a
point-of-sale, or a robust interactive site intended to automate various processes,
we can do it, but we need to know exactly what the tasks are.
When doing business on the internet, we realize the importance of being clearly
understood, while being a cost-effective medium for business it rarely lends room
for error. We approach each new client recognizing the possibility
of discovering together the opportunities and potential of web enabling a business
process even beyond the initially desired requirements. Once we have a clear understanding
of the Requirements, the design team prepares a ballpark estimate, based on an
itemized component breakdown. This gives you the ability to see exactly what's
involved, in getting your site up and running. In case of
large web applications and websites, we recommend that our professionals undertake
a detailed analysis and requirements study.
We use the evolving iterative
approach to web development. When you engage Avenue Creations for a web solution,
we are sensitive to the fact that you require high visibility of the WIP (work
in progress). In the first crucial phase,
we will send you a prototype to show you the shape of things to come. This is
much more than just a visual representation. It represents all the screen elements
in the final product. Feedback from the client is taken and required modifications
are incorporated. Before starting to actually develop the functionalities, we
document all the functional specifications. The client reviews it and gives feedback
again and with this, the requirements specifications are fully captured.
To increase client relations we have developed proprietary software
known as Metamorphosis™ - a high visibility client monitoring
and interaction module, for use during the development cycle. With Metamorphosis
you can monitor the daily progress of your project, see if there is any information
our team needs for your site, even see a meter indicating the percentage done
of your site. Of course this is not meant to replace our Project Managers who
are available via phone, e-mail, or in person to discuss your project status.
Our process accommodates for effective change management, since we
recognize that project requirements are influenced by critical change factors.
By watching the birth and evolution of your project there are no surpises or setbacks
and painful missed deadlines.
In this step we complete end to end quality
assurance of all functionality and programming deployed into your project. We
will execute all of the processes as if we were a customer/visitor using your
site. Next, we will ensure that the complete project is working as designed. Any
defects are logged and prioritized for repair and immediately redeployed. Final
test reports are generated and reviewed by the project manager before final go/no
go decision is made. Finally,
your Project Manager will review the overall project and will interview you to
validate your satisfaction and ensure all of the requirements have been met. Performance
of your site is monitored for a complimentary period of two months, if there is
no site maintenance agreement. Any issues found during production during this
period will be solved without any additional cost to the you.
